Mariel Buque is a Ph.D. Candidate in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University and the Founder of Cultural Therapy, an online platform that connects People of Color to mental health services and information. Her work focuses on the advancement of culturally affirming mental health services and on increasing access to therapy for People of Color. She is the writer of the Psychology Today blog called Unpacking Race, which focuses on improving access to care and racial health disparities. She also trains therapists, educators, and companies in the areas of cultural competency, implicit bias, and microaggressions.
